Just a quick update... got the results of her blood work back.
Her levels are way out of whack.... way too high! also she's "borderline diabetic" (?)
She's only a tiny woman bless her (4ft 11 ... 105 lbs) so it looks really like she's been Over medicated.
We suspected this all along (the blood work was done 4 weeks back...only just got the results!)
Past few weeks she's been cutting down on the levoxyl ... just taking it on alternate days.
Past few days she's begun to feel pretty good! So I guess we're getting close to the answer!

@Paul_a what were her test results? Do you have FT3, FT4 and TSH numbers to share with us?

Glad she is on the right track now.

So glad to hear things are moving forwards. Always go back and poke the doctors for more info and more checks any tome you both think it's needed - as the quicker things are checked and sorted te less damage they do. Thyroids can be a pain in the ass for screwing around and being random. I tried a partial block treatment once and it pissed mine off so much it packed in completely. Took me a year to get back to normal again on block and replace. Stoopid thing!

Well.. I guess I need a little help here
Things seemed to be getting a little better and then yesterday... crashing depression
There's a few things I really need to know.
I fully understand the awful depressions that can take over. is it normal though for the slightest little thing, even pretty insignificant to trigger an episode of depression?
I guess I already know the answer... yes.
Although at times it's like living on eggshells .. I won't give up on her. I love this woman and I know the little sweetheart that's in there.
I just would value someone else's opinion. Am I doing the right things by being caring and patient?
It took me more than a few hours to persuade her to get to see her endocrinologist.
She has an appointment on Monday.
I need to get things straight in my head what she should be asking.
By all the research I've done (literally weeks and months) it all points to me to low T3 or possibly cortisol.
Just as a reminder, she had her thyroid removed a couple of years ago due to cancer. and has been on Levoxyl since.
The levoxyl (or maybe the dose of it) makes her very nauseous... maybe she should switch to synthroid?
I'd be really grateful for some comments and pointers!

@Paul_a I dont think she'll feel any better on Synthroid either if she is not improving on Levoxyl.
I would suggest trying Armour Thyroid, Naturethroid or other natural hormone to see if it brings any positive results. Depression can take over very badly if your are very low on thyroid hormones. Fortunately she has got you but not everyone is in a similar situation.

    Mad

    Mike,
I BADLY need an answer here from someone in the U.S!l
Her endocrinologist is refusing to give her the results from her last blood work! All he will tell her is her tsh is "26"
SURELY he has NO legal right whatsoever to keep her in the dark?
Answer needed quick.... before I take out a lawsuit on this "quack!"
