    Hi, Mariano,
am new here, read article on Armour Doses. You mentioned Vitamin D levels good. I have never had mine tested. Could you please tell me what the lab test is, and what lab it was done at.

    many thanks sparrow

Hi sparrow, the test is available from

    http://www.gdx.uk.net/index.php?option= ... test&id=43

and I believe optimal levels should be 50/80. It is a blood test

    Hope this helps

Question for those of you on Amour. I tried it a while back and liked the way I felt, but it seemed to wear off fast. By mid afternoon I was feeling hypo. Do you guys break it up into a couple doses a day to prevent this?

I assumed the problem was the natural T3 burning up so fast.

I told my wife untreated hypothyroidism, hour by hour, feels like driving on a pile of boulders instead of a road. Being on Synthroid feels like driving on a nicely graded dirt road - I'll take it. But when I tried Armour I felt like I was driving on a well paved highway. (had to be the T3)

Well I only just started using armour and still on 30mg which is only 1/2 grain, I came from thyroxine 100 mcg which was too strong at the time, the first day I took it (armour) it too was too strong so I halved it, then had more. Now I take 1/2 grain exactly but it feels too weak for me, as my body has adjusted, I don't feel too well with only 1/2grain of armour.

I've since put myself up to 60mg armour daily, which is equivalent to 1 grain. I feel a lot better now than I did before with only minimal symptoms lingering. I guess my body has to adjust to the new medication.
