Can TSh decrease this much in 6 weeks?

    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
Was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism 21 weeks ago (TSH 8.2 mu/L; Serum free T4 10.7 pmol/L; thyroid peroxidase antibody level >1300) and was put on 25 mcg levothyroxine. Had a review blood test after 15 weeks (TSH decreased to 7.1 mu/L) and levothyroxine dose was increased to 50 mcg then to 75 mcg one week later. At 21 weeks had another blood test and TSH had declined to 1.4 mu/L.
Even though this is obviously good news, I find it hard to believe that there could be such a decrease from 7.1 to 1.4 in 6 weeks!!
    Any comments on this?
    Many thanks,
    K

That's great but what are your T4 and T3 results? These play an important role in thyroid funcion as well especially T3

Well mine dropped from 80 to 12 in four weeks after starting of thyroxine so could be possible. Of course you'll need a little bit more time before your full body realises the benefits of it.
