    T3 does it help

I'm waiting for an appointment to see an Endo and one of the things I want to look into is taking T3 as well as Levothyroxine. I just wondered if anyone on here takes it and whether it helped? And if it didn't did you get bad side effects? I'm not finding that T4 alone is working for me.

Hi hun....it only helps when you need it. If you take it when your conversion from T4 to T3 is alright then you'll get side effects. I wouldnt recommend it unless you have carried out all your tests to make sure your body will benefit from it.

Thyroid functions work on feedback system and when they sense external hormones in the body, they stop production or conversion. Like I said in other thread, if you have your FT3 results then it would give you a little bit of clue what is going on. Hope you feel okay soon xx
