    Questions regarding underactive thyroid symptoms

I was diagnosed in 2007 at 23 years old. I have been on the same dosage of Synthoid since. My doctor has always said that my levels are within normal limits. I have my blood tested every six months. I am also low on B12 and Vitamin D which I get a shot for and take vitamins for.
My question is when if ever do symptoms ever go away?
I deal with a large list of symptoms still to this day, and wondering how I can make them better. - excessive tiredness(I wake up ready for a nap), always cold, very bad memory(that used to be fantastic), decreased sweating though lately have been having night sweats, migraines, dark circles under eyes, constipation, menstration issues, emotional issues, and the biggest one in my books is complete loss of libido. I used to have a very high libido and now its so low that its a problem in my relationship.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

hello brandy, unfortunately most of the symptoms overlap each other so it is very difficult to say what is causing issue. You are on right track with your vitamins and minerals but if you have underactive thyroid, no matter what you do, you'll never feel better. Thyroid acts as a tripod in your body system along with nervous system and brain. Once upset, it upsets other systems too.

What were your thyroid results and do you think you are taking enough medication to be euthyroid?

Unfortantely the answer to both your questions is that I don't know. I havn't kept track of my TSH levels, didn't think there was a need, though I am going to now. I havn't got my Vitamins retested yet, I will be talking to my doctor about doing that, and how often I should be?
As for things never getting better, they should improve shouldn't they?

Libido is something which comes with health and right hormones. Zinc seems to help but not sure if it works for women as well. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about it may be other female members could help? Perhaps worth starting a new thread and asking twitter female members?
