    Help Balloon Hi

Hi, I am really glad I have found a thyroid forum as I can find it quite daunting sometimes.

I was diagnosed with thyroid eye disease in 2008 and I had elevated tpo's but my thyroid function has always be normal and I have had it tested loads.

But my symptoms have been getting worse every year and my thyroid antibodies have continued to rise, but I was refered back to my endoc dr and she did loads of blood tests and this time some of the results have come back.

    This is them

    T4 18.9
    T3 6.6
    TSH 0.05
    Cortisol 156
    TPO 200

Can anyone help me to understand these results?

I look forward to using this forum.

Hi @clee and welcome to the forums

I've been a victim of overactive thyroid but fortunately never had eye disease. I had gritty eyes and was referred to an ophthalmologist who confirmed nothing more than just dry eyes.

From your test results, I'd say you are mildy overactive as well. TSH is quite low and T3 is slightly high as well.

Mine had always been in this range and suddenly my symptoms started getting worse and then the worst thing happened, thyroid was removed.

Not an eyes specialist so can't help you much on that but please, don't rely on doctors telling you everything is alright or within range as they just follow text books and not individual cases.

Otherwise keep us updated on your progress as a lot of other people come and read the forum and it'd help them a lot for their condition.
