    changes after lobectomy

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I couldn't see anywhere better.
About 4 months ago I had my left thyroid lobe due to a large lump which turned out to be benign. Since then I have had a few blood tests which have shown raised TSH and slightly low T4. I am told that this is usually transiet and should sort itself out. Does anyone know how long this can take? Also, is the remaining thyroid lobe likely to increase in size due to the raised TSH? I am not sure whether it has got bigger, and it is worrying me. My doc doesn't seem to know the answers to these questions and is really vague on all these issues which is also worrying.
    Many thanks

    Hi @Jackie

When your TSH is to high you need to replace it with thyroid hormons. If you don't do that you wil get a lot of problems: concentration en memory los, gain waight etc.
