    had bloods done yesterday

    i will phone tomorrow, then will print all the results ive ever had here

    Do remember to get the lab ranges too, most important for proper assessment, as they vary
    a lot in different parts of the country

    on the previous results ive got none show t3, only tsh & t4. do you know why this is im still learning mainly from all of you here

    It all comes down to money, really, the T3 test is more expensive than the others, and most doctors
    seem to think it only applies to Hypers, even my (ex) endo thinks that . Added to which, often when
    the T3 test is ordered the labs refuse to do it if the T4 is in range, and my local labs wont even do
    the T4 if the TSH is in range. its just pot luck.

    But it depends what medication you are on and how you are feeling on that dose whether you need
    the T3 checking.

    I am not sure how the whole system is run as when I was demanding for Eltroxin, the GP was telling me that they can't specify branded products because it increase cost of the clinic or something.....didnt quite understand it as the only thing I was interested in was Eltroxin.

    Would be nice to understand what is the system so next time it's easier to talk to them!
