    Lightbulb Medication

    Hey there,

I am a new member and was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me.

I have had an under active thyroid for three years now and have never taken medication for it as i have a phobia of swallowing tablets (sounds strange but its true lol) which i am going to be having hypnosis for, but my doctor told me if i didnt start taking them then within the next three years i may not be around, is this true or is it a scare tactic to get me to take the medication ???

    Hope someone can help me

    in Advance

    zoe

    Re: Medication

Hi zoe_pippa and welcome to the site

In reality it's not like that you may be not around, it's more like even if you are around, it wouldnt feel like being around because once symptoms get worse, you feel almost dead. Of course that's going to depend how much hypothyroid are you but even a little one is no good.

So if you don't like swallowing medicines, does it mean you don't take them in your mouth at all because then Armour could be a solution as you just put it under your tongue and it just dissolves which is quite good I think. But I think NHS dont do Armour anymore so it could be that you'll have to buy privately.

Yes if its just the swallwing then Armour would be a good option as it dissolves under the tongue,
