Re: OAT axis, marvellous explaination by Dr Lam

One of the best articles I've seen in a long time, and the first to connect the pancreas with the thyroid and adrenals - the pancreas is also an endocrine organ.

I have an appointment with a gastro tomorrow re the acute pancreatitis attack I had in the autumn with
subsequent MRI scan, I shall ask if its connected to my hypo thyroid. Its my belief it is , because the usual cause is gallstone which I don't have or excessive drinking which I don't do.

I look forward to hearing how you get on with Dr.Lam, sounds exciting.

Had my appointment this morning with the Gastro- all of 15 minutes - and I am now discharged, hurray !
They can't find anything wrong, so all OK. Apparently there is no reason to connect my attack of Pancreatitis with my thyroid or adrenals, he said with an indulgent smile! Hmmm!

    Hi Ginny
Great to know your pancreas is ok now, I hear pancreatitis is really horrible.
I had to cancel the phone call when I realised that with the phone price and the Dr fees on top I wouldn't be able to afford it I suppose it was the quote for the whole of the coaching that scared me, and the fact I didn't actually see him for that, just phone calls, which he said was quite involved. I would probably not have been able to follow the advise over the phone with my brain the way it is, ahh well
    lotsa luv
