(((Hugss))) darlin, it is such a shame that we cannot get this done on the NHS and that they choose to overlook these things especially until the other organs have joined in the go slow.
I look forward to seeing your results hon, take care

Yes I tried Adrenal Extract, up to 4 tablets per day for almost two months without any gain. But then again I was going through quite a lot that time and was trying to train hard which made recovery almost impossible.

For some people it works so it's always worth giving it a go. One thing to understand is that Extract dont contain active steroidal hormone cortisol hence a lot of people prefer that. It may take slightly longer towards recovery on this path. Me being impatient like always didnt want to wait so took the risk and went on cortef. I felt improvements within 4 weeks and after six months, I am totally off it now.

I take extracts now once in a while when there is stress as trying to baby sit those poor glands until they are strong enough to work on their own.

Good Luck and feel free to ask any questions.

I think some people have a little success with Isocort, this actually is supposed to have a little hc in it but I never noticed anything on the bottle. They say equivalent to 1.5mg per pellet, with some glandulars and echinacia (why? lol) included. I found it not too bad but I did eventrually need hc.
You can get Isocort from DrTeitlebaums site.

Glad you got the book, Ric, it gives many ways to help yourself apart from steroids , by small
changes in lifestyle, It is very worth reading. As regards the adrenal test, this is in my opinion
money well spent, gives you a basis on which to work.

Quite a few people take Wilson's Dynamite for adrenal support, it is reckoned to be stronger
    than the NAE.

Re: I think Im sufferring with Adrenal fatigue!

Gillian, Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry to learn about your problems, they never
seem to come in ones where thyroid is concerned do they.

I have used NAE (Nutri Adrenal Extra) for my support, many people believe that this is only
of any use if you are not badly affected, but this is not quite true, it just takes a bit longer
before improvement is felt. Many people are too impatient to start feeling better. Except for
the midnight value, my other readings were well below the "norm".

Dr. Peatfield has sucessfully guided many people along the road to recovery and I think you
should do well being advised by him, to self medicate without experienced advice is a rather risky
    way to go.

Do read as much as you can about thyroid disease on this site and the many others on the web
for it is a much misunderstood and neglected problem for so many of us.

    Ginny
