    Re: Wondering about iodine deficency

Mandy, Sea salt is not a good dietary source of Iodine that is for sure. You'll have to see your doctor to understand if you iodine is causing your thyroid problems.

On the other side, eggs, meat and dairy products are all good source of iodine. Tuna and Salmon are excellent protein source so should be in your diet. I read somewhere that Tuna may have traces of mercury which is quite dangerous for adrenals and thyroid.

I would say Cut Soya out of your diet because almost everywhere I have read, Soy products are not recommended for people with low thyroid function!

Do Soy Foods Negatively Affect Your Thyroid?

Do you take any multivitamins at all? May be that would help and then you don't have to worry too much about your diet.

Hope you feeling better since your last visit to the doctor

Sea salt is very good for adrenal recovery and I use it all the time

Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, fish oil....you already taking all the healthy stuff so you heading towards the right direction I'd say.

I usually take magnesium at bed time that helps me sleep nicely or else I keep waking up
