    An Armour question...

I have 15 tablets from this batch of Armour tablets, only thing is my 3 grain tablets best before date has arrived 11/2008

so technically they are now out of date. I have enough to 15 December.

Should I continue taking them, or should I throw them away and start taking my new batch??

    Ric,

In my opinion, they are safe to take. A "best before" is not technically a date of expire but means they might start losing potency. If you kept them out of direct sunlight and at about room temp, I would think they would be okay. I would take them! That may be partly because I'm a bit of a money-pincher and try to delay my Dr. appointments as long as possible . If they were further out of date it would be more of a concern, like a couple of months or more.

You should be glad Ric you didn't throw them or else you would have been in big trouble (Wife)

I remember reading somewhere that if Armour is not kept b/w the certain temperature they start loosing their potency. Not sure how true is it but keep us all updated if you notice any change thumbup

    Ric,

I bet our wives would hit it off, they're both cut from durable cloth to put up with us!
Also: I've been to your site, enjoyed your videos and will be going back to browse more. I like plain talk from fellow patients and your down-to-earth sharing of your experiences .
As SiD said, Armour can go bad if temperature gets too hot for it (above room temp for days). The manufacturer in fact has had to discard some of their warehoused product during hot months for this very reason.
Some people freeze their supply if it is more than a couple months worth but I can't find reputable info out there saying this is okay to do, so room temp is probably the safer way to preserve it. When it goes bad I thing it simply loses potency.
