What everyone takes for their treatment? Please Vote

    Dear Member

Please help us identify the widely used thyroid treatment being used at the moment. A lot of people are on a variety of medication and may benefit from it. Hence help us by voting on your normal medication for low thyroid treatment and post some feedback/comments if the medication has been helpful or not.

    .

P.S - Please ignore it if you are not taking any medication.

Currently I am on Eltroxin (Previously on generic thyroxine) and would like to know if there are people who have switched from Thyroxine to Armour or some other product and have felt better since.

I am not doing that bad but I see there is still chance of improvement hence would like to do a bit of trial with Armour but would want opinion of others first.

Please also state how long you have been taking the current product and what improvement, if any did you feel after switching.

    Thank You

SiD, I voted Armour on the survey, which I was switched to after being on Synthroid originally. I'm not the best example even though I did see much better improvement taking Armour because I believe I was undertreated on Synthroid. My Dr. at the time only kept my dose at a level to suppress my TSH to between 3.0 and 5.0 and mine must be suppressed much lower for me to experience symptom relief. Maybe other members will be along to relate their experiences.

Well I was on Generic Thyroxine but then convinced my GP to prescribe me Eltroxin and it's been 4 month now that I am on Eltroxin now.

I've been on levothyroxine for 20 years, I felt better at first, but have had really bad depressions since. I have never felt well and actually didn't ever expect to feel 100%. However since I have been doing 'research' on the web, I notice that many people actually improve on armour. I would like to give it a go but have no idea where to obtain it!

    Suzilu!!!

THere are places you can go to get Armour yourself without prescription, as its not recognised as a Drug in the UK.

But first I dont know what information you have, but my biggest piece advice is to research, dont jump into the deep end

YOu can feel well again, thats for sure
