    Heart Rate / Pulse Rate

What is a 'normal heart' rate for an adult? Does it differ if you have hyperthyroid issues or can it still be in the 'normal' realm?

    Re: Heart Rate

Heart rate or pulse rate, it varies from person to person and ranges from 60 to 80 per minutes.

In some people it may be slightly higher or lower depending on their natural metabolism and daily activities.

    What is your pulse?
Your pulse is your heart rate, or the number of times your heart beats in one minute. Pulse rates vary from person to person. Your pulse is lower when you are at rest and increases when you exercise (because more oxygen-rich blood is needed by the body when you exercise).

I guess weight, height and physical stature all play an input in the result, but I was just considering two similar subjects but one has a thyroid issue.

Re: Heart Rate / Pulse Rate

Here is a simplified version for those interested in the alteration of their bp during treatment. It is an abstract from a scientific journal

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14594573

The adrenal group told me that High pulse can be low sodium, stress, adrenaline, high thyroid, high cortisol, because I suffer from high hr, have done for a long time. For a long time I have been a stress head

interesting abstract I think as I have noticed my systolic and diastolic readings get closer and then further apart (alteration of pulse pressure) and wondered what it was telling me.. now I know :d
